How UNV Solution is Reliable for Fishing Grounds in Chile?
2020.08.14

Chile is a country in western South America. It occupies a long, narrow strip of land between the Andes to the east and the Pacific Ocean to the west, borders the Drake Passage to the far south with 10 thousands kilometers extended coastline, 167,300 square miles fishing areas. Because of the natural geographical advantages, there are abundant fishing resources in Chile and it becomes the ideal place to develop the fishing industry in the world. Recent years, the fish caught reached 3.6 million tons per year.

Challenge:

Due to the vast expanse of water and poor lighting conditions in the fishing grounds, it’s not easy to manage and monitor. In the face of these problems, the combination of UNV laser PTZ cameras and fixed lens bullet cameras turns everything possible and easier.

But what exactly makes this solution reliable?

Solution and Products:

The IPC6252SL-X33UP, 2MP Starlight Laser IR Network PTZ Dome Camera, with special structure and window design, adopts intelligent temperature control technology to make it ideal for complex weather and work environments. What´s more, the built-in heat dissipation system helps for high temperature and humidity in summer. The most attractive thing about this camera is its vari-focal laser distance, from 30m to 500m. It can cope with poorly illuminated fishing grounds and make the whole system easier to manage.

Besides the hardware design, we also consider a lot about the application and function in the real actual scene: 4 motion detection areas can be deployed to monitor various fishing grounds; external alarm devices can prevent malicious events in a timely manner; automatic sequence function can automatically detect the surrounding environment 24 hours a day. All of these smart features bring us a safe and convenient day-to-day work.

Feedback:

“Our main idea is to develop the use of the perimeter radar, laser PTZ, fixed cameras and deterrents to protect the centers of salmon farming in Chile,” introduced by our partner.

This system is based on automatic detection of boats and people in the vicinity of the cultivation modules, generating automatic alarms in the monitoring center to indicate the presence of an intrusion within the protected area. In addition, the cultivation centers are also installed such as southern Chile, where there is very little lighting, so it is important to use cameras with reliable infrared functions, which can be well achieved in the UNV cameras. "

“Currently, we use Uniview cameras in our whole monitoring system,” our customer said, “the high quality and low failure rate of UNV cameras have earned our trust in the brand.”
