UNV has reached a new milestone in Colombia with the deployment of a state-of-the-art LED display system at the North Bus Terminal of Medellín.
A Landmark in Transit and Commerce
Since opening its doors on February 16, 1984, the North Terminal has served as the region’s primary hub for ground transportation. Located just steps from the Caribe station on the Medellín Metro, the four-story terminal not only facilitates the movement of passengers but also functions as a bustling commercial center with shops, food courts, and various services.
The Challenge: Clear Communication in a High-Traffic Hub
Handling between 45,000 and 55,000 users daily, the terminal required a dynamic, high-visibility communication solution for sharing key announcements, advertising content, and public service messages. Terminal management sought to replace outdated static boards with a modern, high-performance digital system capable of keeping up with the terminal’s constant activity.
The Solution: UNV XA Series LED Displays
UNV responded with a powerful and precise solution: the installation of six LED displays, each measuring 1.92 meters in height and 1.28 meters in width. Utilizing the XA Series with a 2.5mm pixel pitch, these indoor LED displays are specifically engineered for high-resolution, long-lasting performance in high-traffic environments.
Each screen delivers exceptional image clarity, making content easy to read even at close range—a critical feature in spaces where viewers are often just a few meters from the displays. With vivid color reproduction, uniform brightness, high refresh rate, and low power consumption, the XA Series ensures content is both impactful and energy efficient.
Streamlined Installation and Remote Management
Installation was carried out by a regional partner, supported by the UNV technical team throughout planning, deployment, and fine-tuning. Thanks to the modular design of the XA Series, the system integrates seamlessly into the terminal environment—clean, durable, and unobtrusive.
Operators can now manage content remotely, update messages in real time, and schedule campaigns based on daily passenger flow, ensuring communication remains relevant and responsive.
The Result: Smarter Communication, Better Experience
Since the screens went live, the terminal has seen a notable improvement in how information is delivered and received. Communication is now faster, clearer, and more adaptable. Passengers and visitors alike benefit from a more modern and engaging terminal environment.
This project demonstrates how UNV’s LED display technology is helping transform public infrastructure, enhancing not only functionality but also the overall user experience. With its blend of visual excellence, reliability, and local support, UNV stands out as a trusted partner for large-scale projects.
